CBFA Launches New Later Life Support Service!

Later Life Financial Planning is an often-overlooked element of an individual’s finances. At times of high pressure, following either unexpected life events or a diagnosis and progression of illness, individuals and families enter a complex system to obtain the support they are entitled to and get the information they need to plan for the future.

We have recently launched our new Later Life Support Service with the aim of helping individuals and families navigate the later life system, from Day 1. The service includes but is not limited to:

  • A half an hour one-to-one general discussion, at our cost, to provide guidance and signposting, including a written summary of the guidance.
  • Assistance in completing applications for State benefits, such as Attendance Allowance*
  • Researching the costs associated with funding care**, and making a personal recommendation

At Carpenter Box Financial Advisers, we have extensive experience in supporting individuals and families entering the later life system for the first time. Our Senior Financial Planning Manager Gill Lynes is an affiliate of the CareWise service offered by West Sussex Council and an accredited adviser for the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA).

In 2022 we were recognized for our excellence in supporting vulnerable clients when we were awarded the Professional Adviser Awards – Best Adviser Firm for Vulnerable Client Care.

If you would like further information about our services or would like to book an initial discussion with Gill, please contact us or by calling 01903 534587.

*This service has a fixed charge of £150. Please note that various charities and providers including Citizens Advice offer this service for free, however, you may find extended wait times for appointments which ultimately delay the benefit becoming payable.

**This service has a fixed charge of £350. If you wish to proceed with a personal recommendation this charge will be deducted from the final charge for the advice.
