Later Life care service – support to get the care you need

Legal & General have launched a new Later Life Care service providing help and guidance in choosing, arranging and paying for later life care for yourself or someone you love.

Their website provides a wealth of information covering areas including making decisions, care options, finding care and importantly paying for the care you or your loved one requires.

Free, easy to use tools are available providing information about your key housing and care options in later life; you can search for care homes or home care agencies in your local area, work out how to access some help around the home or get information about how it will all be paid for.

The Care Costs Calculator provides an easy way to ascertain if you are eligible for any financial support from your local authority, how to find your local authority and a guide to next steps.

MHA Carpenter Box Financial Advisers work closely with Legal & General as an approved panel member specialising in the provision of care funding advice. Senior Financial Planning Manager Gill Lynes is an accredited member of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) providing practical financial advice and support in what is a complex area to navigate.

Finally, if you need to get care in place straightaway, Legal & General offer a free, initial telephone consultation with a care expert who can help guide you through the process. There is no obligation to proceed with any further services.
